Docenten speciaal onderwijs in Minneapolis

Een aantal docenten uit het speciaal onderwijs zijn op bezoek in Minneapolis. Ze kwamen toevallig ook nog op de televisie...

Teachers from half way around the world congregated in Minneapolis Tuesday to learn about special education.Teachers from the Netherlands observed what makes Dowling Elementary School unique."We have a wide variety of programs we offer and a nice mix of students here," said the school’s principal Joe Rossow.The school is well respected for its work integrating special education students into mainstream classes."I would love to have a more inclusive system and more for the well being of the child and for every child," explained Dutch teacher Bob Hofman.About 17 percent of the students at Dowling receive special education services. - Special education teachers gather in Mpls.
