De verborgen kracht van Live@Edu…

En dat is Powershell toegang. Je kunt je live-omgeving beheren met lokale Powershell. Daarvoor moet je wel wat stappen doorlopen. Hier een kort overzicht wat je dan moet doen…

  1. Configureer Powershell - http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc952756.aspx?sl=1
    1. Before you can use Windows PowerShell with Outlook Live, make sure you have the correct versions of Windows PowerShell and Windows Remote Management (WinRM) installed and configured on your computer. Outlook Live requires the Windows Management Framework, which contains the correct versions of Windows PowerShell v2 and WinRM 2.0.

If your computer is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, you don't have to install anything. The Windows Management Framework is already installed.

  2. Connect met je Windows Live omgeving - http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc952755.aspx?sl=1
  3. After you have installed and configured Windows PowerShell and Windows Remote Management (WinRM) on your computer, you have to connect the Windows PowerShell on your local computer to Outlook Live to perform tasks in your Outlook Live organization.

When you open Windows PowerShell on your computer, you're in the Windows PowerShell session of your local computer. A session is an instance of Windows PowerShell that contains all the commands that are available to you.

The Windows PowerShell session of your local computer, called the client-side session, only has the basic Windows PowerShell commands available to it. By connecting to Outlook Live, you connect to the Outlook Live server environment, called the server-side session, which contains the Outlook Live commands.

Zo kun je een overzicht krijgen van al je gebruikers, gebruikte quota, gebruikers aanmaken, verwijderen… Kortom, een echte beheerstool die je veel meer mogelijkheden biedt dan de webinterface van je Live-omgeving!
